Alliance Membership
The Alliance is owned by the governments of its member nations, which have the ultimate decision-making power within the organization on all matters, including policy, financial or membership issues. Member-States govern the Alliance through the General Assembly which makes all major decisions for the organization.
Alliance Membership is open to all. Per its voluntary membership process any Country and State/Province may join and become a member of the Alliance. Under the the Alliance Charter, Member-States have no obligation to make any monetary contribution and their obligations are to :
(i) comply with the Alliance Charter, Regulations and Decisions of the Alliance;
(ii) supply, data required for the proper implementation of the Alliance initiatives, duties and objectives within their respective territories;
(iii) enter into a Master Framework Country Convention and Host Site Agreement and;
(iv) support at least one (1) specific Alliance Venture and/or PPP Project in order to finance the Alliance Initiative in their territory.

Fully-Fledged Member
The Alliance Fully-Fledged Member State status are granted to Member States of the United Nations that are in good standing, that have signed the UN Millennium Declaration, that adhere to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Program and that are not in conflict or subject to suspension by the U.N or under International Sanction.

Associate Member
The Alliance Associate Member status are granted to Intergovernmental Organization (IGO) that do not have an associated governmental status.
Alliance Associate Members have no voting rights at the General Assembly meeting, however, they may obtain the right to speak or to provide recommendations to the General Assembly that, if accepted may result in declarations or resolutions of the General Assembly.
Observer Member
The Alliance Observer Member status are granted to Non-Governmental Organization (NGO).
Alliance Observer Members have no voting rights, nor can they submit recommendations, however, they may obtain the right to speak at the General Assembly meeting.

Legal Framework
The Innovation Alliance is domiciled in Switzerland. Therefore, it is governed by the laws and regulations of Switzerland and any information provided to us through either your application, your membership, or optional newsletter is considered personal data as defined and protected by the Swiss Federal Data Protection Act (DPA).
Data related to your membership application.
Such data will only be used to process and discuss your application internally, with international organizations and specialized agencies collaborating with the Innovation Alliance, and the Ministry of member countries and potential participating countries. Furthermore, we may use such data to contact you with important notifications about the Innovation Alliance, to send you information related to the Innovation Alliance, or to send you invitations to participate to Innovation Alliance events and conferences. We may also inform you about new Innovation Alliance initiatives in which you might have an interest. You are free, at any given time, to opt-out of those features.

We employ a local installation of open-source analytics tools. Analytics are anonymised whenever possible and stored locally (and not on the cloud).
Communicating with the Innovation Alliance
Your communications with the Innovation Alliance such as membership applications or general information requests may be saved by our staff. The legal basis for processing is consent and our legitimate interest is to improve the quality of our services.
Payment Information
We rely on third parties to process bank wires, credit card, and Bitcoin transactions and must therefore share payment information with third parties. The legal basis of this processing is the necessity to the execution of the contract between you and us.
Data Use
We do not have any advertising on our site. Any data that we do have will never be shared except under the circumstances described in this Agreement. We do NOT do any analysis on the limited data we do possess.
Data Storage
All servers used by the Innovation Alliance are located in Switzerland and Germany. Only employees of the Innovation Alliance have physical or other access to the servers. Data is ALWAYS stored in encrypted format on our servers. Offline backups may be stored periodically, but these are also encrypted.
Data Disclosure
We will only disclose data we possess if we are instructed to do so by a fully binding request coming from the competent Swiss authorities (legal obligation).
Modifications to Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to periodically review and change this policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via public announcements on our newsletter. Continued use of the Services will be deemed as acceptance of such changes.
