Dr. Medina Srem-Sai_Ghana

Dr. Medina Srem-Sai has been appointed by the Alliance on May 9, 2023 as the Director of the Academy of Ghana. Her role is to oversee the implementation of the national Strategic Development Plan for Ghana in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Sports and to develop and operate the Academy in her country.

 

On June 13, 2024 she was appointed as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Alliance where she leads the National Directors as well as review, inform and advise Ministers, the Restructuring Board and the Transition Committee of the Alliance on activities relevant to the implementation of the Alliance Strategic Plan for the 2024-2030 period. 
 

Dr. Medina is a Lecturer in the Department of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Sports (HPERS), University of Education, Winneba, Ghana. She teaches physical education and sports psychology, supervises student projects and conducts research while being involved in community services to help society.

 

She served as Head of the Department of Physical Education and Sports and as a District Physical Education Coordinator, has organized sports festivals in basic schools and has supervised the teaching and learning of physical education.

 

Dr. Medina Srem-Sai is a Doctor of Philosophy in Physical Education (Sports Psychology), Department of Health, Physical Education and Recreation from the University of Cape Coast, Cape Coast, Ghana

 

She is also a Commonwealth International Female Mentor under the Commonwealth Female Leadership Program, 2023 - Mentoring Women in Sport in Commonwealth Regions.

 

Author or co-author of 33 scientific articles and a book chapter, she has participated in numerous national and international conferences and seminars. She was recently a member of the organizing committee of the Conference on Physical Education and Sports in collaboration with an American university.
